Our collaboration with educators focuses on increasing the capacity of school personnel to support  student success in all areas: academically, socially, and behaviorally. Services include:

  • Individual student consultation to address educational/behavioral challenges

  • Modifying instructional and classroom environments

  • Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and creating behavior management systems/intervention plans (BIPs)

  • Developing student supports (e.g., visual, organizational) and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals

  • Training staff in the implementation of ABA-based services

A detailed report will be provided following each consultation session. In addition, any staff training required to support the implementation of the recommendations can also be provided.

We specialize in evaluating individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to determine levels of cognitive, adaptive behavior, academic and social functioning. A battery of standardized assessment measures will be individualized based on the referral question and need. Psychoeducational evaluations will also include classroom observations and teacher interview(s).

Evaluations include a final report with recommendations (as needed) and a follow up session to review results.

We also provide staff development training for professionals. Examples of topics include:

  • Understanding and Educating Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Behavior Management Strategies

  • Effective Classroom Management Strategies

  • Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments

  • Developing and Implementing Behavioral Intervention Plans and Skill Acquisition Programs

  • How to Develop and Teach Toleration Programs (e.g., dental, medical, restrictive behavior)
